“ People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so out of control that you have to transform your life… -Elizabeth Gilbert

Artist: Audrey Kawasaki
I fell in love with the images of Audrey Kawasaki very early on while "collecting images" online as I often do for random projects. Her very feminine way and subtle tease about her images are intense in the reserse effect. What I didnt expect is how her art would continusly creep its way into my creative discovery and "Image Collection". A.K.'s continued excalation of work over the years only show a countious outlet in what she does with no signs of climax in the near future.
Anything addtional to be said would best be said in her bio below
{BONUS UNPUBLISHED SKETCHES @ END OF SLIDE}
Info Bio:
The themes in Audrey Kawasaki's work are contradictions within themselves. Her work is both innocent and erotic. Each subject is attractive yet disturbing. Audrey's precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau. Her sharp graphic imagery is combined with the natural grain of the wood panels she paints on, bringing an unexpected warmth to enigmatic subject matter.
The figures she paints are seductive and contain an air of melancholy. They exist in their own sensually esoteric realm, yet at the same time present a sense of accessibility that draws the observer to them. These mysterious young women captivate with the direct stare of their bedroom eyes.
Audrey updates her online journal frequently with new work, pieces in progress, information about shows and more. http://i-seldom-do.livejournal.com/

*CAPTURED*
"CAPTURED"
The personal journey of my life, family & friends as captured in it's still frame and beauty. Recent, vintage, historical moments can all be found here....
"Live your life "CAPTURE" the moment!"
My S.F.L. RAY since 7th grade and teenage homie FACE from back on the block; now as fate would have it happily married huband & wife parley in San Diego following the recent VH1 tapping of "DIVAS" where the show was filmed.
I'm elated they captured their personal time together enjoying the temperate weather and essence of the West Coast with little old me knowing the picture whore I am... and now for me to share this "capture" with you.
