A Life Grown from STRANGE FRUIT

Have you ever woke up one of those days and wonder what are the real struggles of today’s life are –
What your place in history currently entitles you to in this world?

With every waking new generation is an older one that looks down on its young (usually shaking its head)
To the disconnection of the life, pain and struggle that were carried on the backs of those who survived them.
Indeed we live in a world of over bearing technology, late trains, 10 hour work days, lack of childcare and possible Starbucks/McDonalds on every other corner to make it all better;
but even the reality of that is distraction people from what god has set out to be important in this life.

The human bond, our inner strength & power as well as the homage that should be displayed on a daily basis of the path that has been paved before us.
No struggle is your own, either you rise or you pass the torch. I opened my eyes this morning with my heart on my father which soon turned into my
Father’s father and so on, and I was happy to have traveled this journey; a journey that I can walk tall on from the place my ancestors crawled from.

The Strange Fruit

Southern trees bear strange fruit,

Blood on the leaves and blood at the root,
Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze,
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.
Pastoral scene of the gallant south,
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth,
Scent of magnolias, sweet and fresh,
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh.
Here is fruit for the crows to pluck,
For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck,
For the sun to rot, for the trees to drop,
Here is a strange and bitter crop.

-Billie Holiday

Always be aware of who paved your way, be humble in it and take the tourch
that has been passed and lead the way.

Smash Your Radio Welcome to the Wonderful World of Moe Isaac Music

Hello Peoples in the place to be...

I must say I am absolutely ELATED to be here, one that I've finally made good on opening this forum to spill on to and secondly that for my very first post I am allowed to partially seduce your ears with the sounds of Mr. Moe Isaac.

I believe that with every generation there is music (a sound track if you will) that holds true to that generation, its struggles, their passion, and a place to evoke a good time as well as piggy back on the greats before them. With that being said the current state of the music generation today keeps me on a constant hunt of that real MUSIC... That REAL HIP HOP and R&B, FUNK, JAZZ, RAP, NEW, OLD... JUST GIVE IT TO ME!

With only a handful of the greats still in my rotation (who's Cd's I purchase for their greatness... yes the rest of you get burned to a CD for your lack of greatness/versatility/ and creation - Yuh I said it) my radio doesn't play any more and my search continues... Until without further ado I introduce you to Mr. Maurice Isaac aka Moe Isaac, aka "The Movement".

I am one to hold on to things great when it comes to elements that make me and the world around me tick (Music being a very important element) and Maurice Isaac is a keeper! Introduced to his R&B sounds earlier this summer of 09; although hard to put him in a box its clear to see this man as a creator of his craft, an artist who finds a way to implement all the key factors that the state of music is currently missing today by blending his own musical tastes.

Music to engage all your senses complete with a 10 piece band,
- violin, guitar, bass, keys, drums and back up vocals with Isaac leading the journey of rhythmic lullabies, funky bass beats, nostalgic vibes of something classic... This is something to be heard.

You want a dose? I thought you would... be apart of the movement
Details below and please... tell em BLU. sent you
